About the Event

Lines That Transform: Neurographic Drawing for Emotional Healing

Live on Zoom

Some experiences live beyond words—and require a different kind of language to be expressed and integrated. This interactive workshop introduces neurographic drawing, a process-based, mindfulness-informed practice that supports emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and nonverbal expression.

Led by Dani Dornan, AMFT #160970, supervised by Dr. Brian Lippincott, PsyD #14786, this session invites therapists into a hands-on exploration of how spontaneous line, shape, and form can help clients move through stuck emotional patterns and access new internal possibilities. Rooted in both creativity and clinical intention, neurographic drawing offers a gentle yet powerful way to work with the nervous system, especially when insight alone is not enough.

Participants will:

  • Experience a guided neurographic drawing practice firsthand

  • Explore how this modality supports regulation, mindfulness, and emotional processing

  • Learn how to apply neurographic techniques in clinical work with perfectionism, grief, and emotional awareness

  • Reflect on the role of creativity and nonverbal expression in therapeutic change

  • Develop practical tools for integrating this flexible approach into sessions with diverse client populations

This workshop emphasizes process over product—inviting both therapists and clients to move from rigidity toward flow, curiosity, and self-compassion.

Please bring: a blank piece of paper and a black marker for the experiential portion of the training.
