About the Event
Decolonizing Therapy: Making Room for More Ways of Knowing and Healing
Therapy is shaped by culture, history, and ideas about what healing should look like. But whose perspectives have shaped those ideas, and whose have been left out?
Join KC McLean on Zoom on January 13, from 11:00 a.m. to noon Pacific, for a conversation about decolonizing therapy. Together, we’ll consider how Western assumptions show up in clinical practice and explore ways to make more room for clients’ cultural knowledge, lived experience, relationships, and communities. Come with curiosity and a willingness to reflect on how we can practice with greater humility and care.
