The Shape of Boundaries: Understanding Self, Others, and Relationship
Live on Zoom
Boundaries are more than limits—they are the invisible structures that shape how we experience ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world. When clients struggle with boundaries, it often reflects deeper patterns in identity, attachment, and emotional regulation.
In this experiential workshop, Grahame Foreman, AMFT #159124, supervised by Dr. Douglas Kasle, PsyD #20824, invites clinicians to explore boundaries as a dynamic and meaningful framework for understanding clients’ internal worlds and relational patterns. Rooted in an integrative humanistic approach, this talk offers both conceptual insight and practical tools for working with boundaries in therapy.
Participants will:
Explore different ways of understanding boundaries—internal, relational, and experiential
Learn how boundary patterns shape emotional experience, identity, and connection
Engage in experiential exercises to deepen awareness of their own boundaries
Develop practical, humanistic tools to support clients in recognizing and reshaping boundary dynamics
This workshop supports clinicians in moving beyond surface-level conversations about boundaries into deeper, embodied, and relational work—helping clients cultivate greater clarity, agency, and connection in their lives.
Please bring: a blank piece of paper and a black marker for the experiential portion of the training.
