About Me

Cassy Buckingham is a Registered Psychological Associate, Supervised by Dr. Rachel Horodezky, PsyD25159 who is dedicated to fostering authentic connection and creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow. She is committed to inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that therapy is a welcoming place for people of all identities, expressions, and lived experiences. With a trauma-informed and somatically attuned approach, Cassy brings warmth, depth, and creativity into her practice.

Entering therapy is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and discover new possibilities for living with greater freedom and authenticity. Cassy offers a steady and supportive container in which to explore patterns, reconnect with what feels most essential, and tend to the parts of self and story that may have been neglected or silenced. Together, she invites curiosity, compassion, and openness to change when approaching what feels stuck, confusing, or overwhelming.

Cassy’s approach is integrative and responsive, shaped by each client’s unique needs and goals. At its core, her work is rooted in depth psychology and psychodynamic practice, grounded in the belief that lasting change emerges through exploring unconscious motivations and overlooked influences that shape how we move through life. Alongside depth-oriented work, she incorporates somatic awareness, dream exploration, art, sand tray, play therapy, and behavioral approaches — drawing on whatever best supports a client’s healing journey.

She specializes in supporting individuals, children, teens, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, postpartum experiences, life transitions, health-related stress, and existential concerns. Together, clients and Cassy explore recurring patterns, bodily sensations, and the deeper layers of story, including how the past continues to shape the present, and how dreams, images, and longings may open paths toward new possibilities.

In all of her work, Cassy honors resilience, self-compassion, and the human capacity for transformation. She strives to reweave connections to self, others, community, lineage, and the natural world — guiding clients toward greater authenticity, belonging, and vitality.
