About the Event

About the Talk

Eco-therapy invites us to remember that we are not separate from nature—but deeply connected to it. In this free daytime community gathering, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor Tracy Korpela will introduce the principles of eco-therapy and how connecting with the Earth can support emotional and psychological healing.

The event includes a brief talk, a guided nature-based practice, and time for open discussion. You’ll explore how eco-therapy can help with anxiety, depression, trauma, and disconnection—and how even simple, intentional time outside can deepen your healing.

This event is open to all—whether you’re a client, clinician, or simply someone who feels better outdoors.

About Tracy Korpela, APCC

Tracy Korpela is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who integrates eco-therapy, somatic practices, and trauma-informed care into her work with individuals and groups. With a background in wilderness guiding and a deep love for the natural world, she helps clients reconnect with themselves through mindful connection to land, place, and body. Tracy believes healing happens when we return to relationship—with nature, with others, and with the parts of ourselves we’ve left behind.
