How can nature, movement, and mentorship support young people in healing and growing? In this free community talk, Dr. Aaron Desuasido will share his approach to working with youth through surf therapy, outdoor connection, and relational mentorship. Blending clinical insight with lived experience, Dr. Desuasido explores how time in the ocean, guided support, and consistent care can help young people navigate trauma, build confidence, and reconnect to their inner resilience.
This talk is ideal for parents, educators, therapists, and anyone curious about alternative and embodied approaches to youth mental health. All are welcome—no surfing experience required!
About Dr. Aaron Desuasido
Dr. Aaron Desuasido is a licensed clinical psychologist and youth mentor who integrates surf therapy, movement, and nature-based practices into his work with children and teens. With a background in trauma-informed care and a passion for the ocean, Aaron creates spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. His work centers relationship, regulation, and reconnection—with self, others, and the Earth.
